This tour is for travelers who are interested in wildlife and its diversity. Madagascar is famous for its natural and not man-made attractions. On the island lives and grows a huge number of endemic, that is unique and found nowhere else in the world of animals and plants: lemurs, baobabs, orchids, butterflies, chameleons, snakes, birds.

Route Description

day1
Antananarivo

Arrival in Antananarivo. Immediately after receipt of visa and customs control at the airport you will be met by the tour operator. Transfer to the hotel of the selected category. Rest.

In Antananaviro attention is drawn to the hilly central areas of the city, which are lined with colorful medieval buildings with amazing architecture; cobblestone alleys and street markets are interspersed office buildings and supermarkets, huge rice fields directly adjacent to the city, and carts drawn by oxen, slowly stretch on rural roads along the outskirts of the city.

Antananarivo - Andasibe

Breakfast. Today you will go on a scenic road in the direction of the town of Andasibe. Along the way you will pass numerous traditional villages of the locals, extensive rice fields, mountains and valleys. Thus, you can make a first impression of the unique nature and culture of the island. Along the way we'll pick look at the mouse lemurs (in size they are a little bigger than a mouse).

Reserve Perinet - Antananarivo

You will visit and exploration of Perinet Reserve, where a riot of tropical forests are inhabited by lemurs Indri, which are considered as rare species of lemurs. In the morning, in the area you will be able to watch the family groups Indri, suiting outstanding concerts, which can be heard at a distance of 2-3 km (the only lemurs, who sing).

Here you will meet other types of these harmless animals such as wood lemurs, bamboo gray, brown, red-bellied, black, as well as reptiles and birds that attract tourists from all over the world. In the reserve you will spend the whole day.

Antananarivo - Ansirabe - Ambositra - Ranomafana National Park

Breakfast. Today you will go towards the city Ansirabe whence proceed the way in Ranomafana National Park, where you will spend a couple of days. The park is a strange mixture of hills, shallow valleys, covered with green tropical forests and thundering in the shallows of the river Namorona. This is one of the most beautiful parks in Madagascar, which is home to 12 species of lemurs, many species of birds, reptiles, frogs, butterflies and other rare animals.

On the way you will stop for lunch at Ambositra (city of masters), where you can take a look at a traditional market and buy souvenirs hand-made ​​of wood.

Then you will continue in the Ranomafana National Park, which houses hundreds of species unique to Madagascar plants. In addition, the park is known for its thermal springs, which can be used during the tour.

Ranomafana National Park - Trekking

Today you will be trekking the whole day in Ranomafana National Park, which protects the unique fauna and flora. You will pass over the set of paths that cross tropical rain forests and along the bustling river Namorona. The park is home to a large number of exotic animals, birds and rare plants.

Ranomafana National Park - National Park Isalo

Early in the morning you move to the Isalo National Park, where you will spend 3 nights. On the way you will experience the stunning scenic landscapes. You will stay at the residence of Anji, home to lemurs of ring. They tame and are not afraid of people, so you can safely feed them with bananas and photograph.

Isalo National Park - trekking

Today you spent the whole day, exploring the Isalo National Park, which is interesting for its unique scenery: green valleys, natural lakes, grass plain surrounded by mountain chain with bizarre form. Here are some rare plants. In the deep canyons are formed natural reservoirs of clean water and waterfalls.

In the rocks are hidden in large amounts amazing Sakalava tombs - the religious people of the same name tombstones. The park also has a tribal burial of Bar.

Isalo National Park - Tulear

Breakfast. Today you will go to the coastal town of Tulear - a green oasis. You will visit the Botanical Gardens, which are located near the city center (15 km). It is famous for a variety of species of plants, especially unusual spiral Didier, baobabs, pahipodiumami and other amazing flora.

Tulear - Fort Dauphin - Reservation Berent

Transfer to the airport and flight to Tulear to the Fort Dauphin. Upon arrival, transfer by car (4 hours) to the reservation Berent, where you will spend 2 nights.

Berent is a place where you will see the ring-tailed lemurs and sifaka in vivo. Despite its small size, Berent is one of the most famous nature reserves in Madagascar.

Its territory stretched along the river Mandrare. The great length here creates a unique ecosystem, which is a mixture of needle and tropical forests. In these circumstances it as a home to a huge number of lemurs, reptiles, boa, turtles, geckos. The trees here are home to hundreds of species of birds - owls, wang, falcons and others.

Berent - Fort Dauphin - Antananarivo

In the early morning you return to Fort Dauphin and flight to Antananarivo.

Antananarivo - Diego Suarez

In the morning transfer to the airport. The flight to the north of Madagascar in the port city of Diego Suarez. The main attractions are located outside the city limits.

National Park Amber Mountain - Joffreville - tracking

Today you will have a full day of trekking in the National Park Amber Mountain, which is 30 kilometers from the city of Diego Suarez. It is the oldest national park in Madagascar, which is located at an altitude of 1500 meters.

According to their beliefs, waterfalls allow you to talk with your ancestors. In this place of worship is one of the largest waterfalls in the park - Sacred Falls.
