The location, grounds and landscape 

Bolivia borders in north and north-east with Brazil, in the south-east - with Paraguay, in the south - with Argentina, in the south-west and west - with Chile and Peru. Does not have access to the sea.

The country's territory is 1 098 581 km². 

In the western part of the country stretched the Andes Mountains. The mountain area is divided into three regions: Western Cordillera, Cordillera Real and the high plateau of the Altiplano, separating these ranges. In the area of ​​the Western Cordillera there are volcanoes as extinct, as well as acting, among them - the highest point in the country - an extinct volcano Sajama (6542 m). Andes sharply down to the area of desert plains called Oriente, decreasing to 4350 m throughout the 80 km. Eastern plains occupy most of the country.
