According to Inhabitat, in London, at a height of 35 m above the ground will be built translucent hanging pool. Outdoor swimming pool at the tenth floor will interconnect two residential buildings in the area of Nine Elms.
It is known that the length of the swimming path is 25 m, width - 5 m, the depth reached 3 m. The walls and the bottom of the basin are made of glass with a thickness of 20 cm.
Unusual pool will be part of a new residential complex Embassy Gardens, calculated for 2 thousand apartments. Elite complex to be located in the district of Battersea in south London; from the roofs of houses and swimming pool opens spectacular view of the Palace of Westminster.
The British company Ballymore became the project developer and the design of the pool was developed by design studio Arup in conjunction with engineers from Eckerseley O'Callaghan and aquarium designers Reynolds. In addition to the pool two new buildings will be connected with the pedestrian bridge, sandwiched between buildings parallel to swimming lanes.
Residents of the Embassy Gardens will be able to use the swimming pool; prices for apartments here start from £ 602 thousand ($ 944 thousand). Houses and swimming pool will be built in 2017.
