The world's largest indoor ski center will be built in Norway

Ten minutes from Oslo inside the six-storey building will be located three routes of different difficulty levels, covering an area of 36,000 square meters (505 meters in length and about 100 — in width). The descent will serve five ski lifts capacity of 5000 people per hour.
Also there will be located an indoor track for cross-country skiing, on which will be able to ride simultaneously 1,000 people.
«It will be more than ski center. We're going to build a hotel, apartments, academy of winter sports and shopping. It will be a point of destination», — said Kjetil Fladmark Larsen, CEO of the future complex, from TV2 broadcasting company.
According to the SELVAAG company, a pioneer in the mass production of wooden houses in Norway, September 9, 2015 project was given the green light. After four years of engineering together with the architectural firm Snhetta they are proceeding to the construction of Lorensburg Winter Park.
Construction will begin before the end of this year.
In its turn, owners of the Snowworld center, not far from the Dutch city of Aachen, claim that the world's largest indoor ski slope with an area of 35000 square meters belongs to them.
The record for the longest covered place for ski lessons keeps Dubai. Ski Dubai complex boasts a 400-meter slope, although the city plans to overshadow their own achievement, building by 2020 a new one, more than a kilometer long.
